Divergent Glow began as a personal journey rooted in family, care, and the desire to create better products for dry skin and textured hair. The true turning point came when my daughter was in kindergarten; she was incredibly insecure in her natural hair and constantly begged for a perm just like the one I had at the time. Wanting to break that cycle and show her the beauty of her heritage, I decided to do a big chop, embarking on a shared mission to help us both learn to love and feel deeply confident in our natural hair.

As a mother learning how to care for my daughter’s thick, coily hair, I found myself researching ingredients and watching tutorials to create homemade products that truly nourished and protected her skin and hair. Growing up in Ghana, shea butter was already a part of everyday life, and over time I began blending that heritage with modern formulation knowledge and intentional self-care practices.

What started in my kitchen grew into a passion for creating clean, thoughtful products designed to hydrate, soothe, and support healthy skin. Today, Divergent Glow Self-Care blends tradition and science to make products that help people feel confident, comforted, and cared for. From body butters and oils to soaps, haircare, and candles, every product is crafted with intention because self-care should feel like a moment of restoration, not just another routine.
